In line with the claims by the independent national electoral commission (INEC) that they did not receive any notice of Appeal form His excellency Gov Okezie Ikpeazu or any move to stop the commission from issuing a certificate of return to Dr Uche Ugah said the Anthony General of Abia State, Mr Umeh Kalu insist that INEC lied in all indication as they claimed.

Ibrahim senor clerical officer at the Legal service department of the commission's head quarter in Abuja, stamped the notice of appeal and in line with commissioner's official stamp which occurred on Wednesday 29th of june 2016 by 12:55pm.

Due to the situation at hand it is now clear that the commission have no authority or reason to proceed with their dangerous action by issuing a certificate of return to office to Dr Uche Ogah when it have been clarified in the receipt of a notice of appeal and stay of execution expressly forbidding them from taking any further action with the judgement at the federal high court pending on the determination of the appeal in this case.
