MAN SENTENCE TO 7 YEARS IN PRISON OVER VISA SCAM

The Economic and financial crime commission (EFCC) secured the conviction of Idris Buhari above was today arraigned before Justice JK Omotosho of federal high Court 3 kano state, on a one count charge bordering on obtaining money by presence.

Mr Idris Buhari was arrested by the Economic and financial crimes (EFFC) officials following a compliant brought you against him by Abdullahi Salisu Muhammend of the well known in the popular kwari market in kano.
Alleging that he gave the convict, a school teacher a sum of five hundred thousand naira (N500,000) for the processing of Hajj ticket which occurred in April 2012.

In the Judgement, Justice Omotosho convicted and sentenced the convict to 7years imprisonment. He however gave the accused an option of (N200,000) as a fine, being that he restitution will cost the sum of N200,000
