The tenth yearly Stand Up for Heroes advantage Nov. 1 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden will highlight (in sequential request, so nobody feels insulted) Louis C.K., Jim Gaffigan, Jerry Seinfeld, Bruce Springsteen and Jon Stewart.
The occasion — dispatched via Caroline Hirsch of Caroline's on Broadway and ABC newsman Bob Woodruff, and introduced by the NY Comedy Festival — has raised $34 million for injured warriors.
Woodruff, who was almost slaughtered in Iraq, said, "As we honor the fifteenth commemoration of 9/11 and the wars that have tailed, it's critical not to dismiss the way that a little rate of our populace defended us — it's currently our swing to go to bat for them."
