Photos: LASEMA rescue victims, including children trapped by flood in Lagos

The Lagos State Emergency Agency got a ready Tuesday, September sixth, with respect to a surge episode at Akesan Igando including Zion, Akeem Balogun, Ayeni roads and so forth, at around 1.05pm. This incited the quick enactment of the Agency's ERT to the scene of the episode.

Examination directed by the Agency's ERT at the scene of the episode uncovered that the reason for the surge was as an aftereffect of blocked wastes and waterway prompting the flooding in the whole region and consequently dislodging a portion of the occupants of the influenced houses.
There was no loss of life, the LASEMA Response Team and neighbours assisted in rescuing some of the trapped victims which include children and an old woman identified as Mrs Bello.
The General Manager LASEMA Mr. Michael Akindele advised residents to avoid indiscriminate dumping of refuse leading to blockage of canal and the drainages affecting the free flow of water especially during the heavy downpour in the state.
