An improvised building situated at Kuata Area by Amara Olu Street, Mechanic Village, Agidingbi, Ikeja, caved in Tuesday, and killed a 16-year-old young lady named Faizan Muritala who just got hitched to her significant other Mohammed 10 days prior. ‎ The breakdown of the building was credited to a mudslide. This episode happened under 24 hours after a mosque arranged at 3, Adepitan Street, off Ramat Crescent, Ojudu, somewhat given way.

Taking after the substantial precipitation that have been seen in Lagos as of late, numerous houses with inadequate structure have been distinguished, driving the state government to issue departure notification to occupants.

As indicated by onlookers, the expired who was inside one of the shanties at the season of the episode, was caught under the mudslide. The expired's better half and mother were outside when the episode happened and their shouting made different tenants to escape their shanties.

Affirming the occurrence, the General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Michael Akindele and Southwest representative for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye, said the state Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Babatunde Adejare, who went to the scene, has requested the destruction of alternate structures, demanding that the territory was not livable.

He cautioned occupants of surge inclined groups in the state to migrate to upland regions until after the overwhelming downpours to deflect loss of lives.
