Police defend sealing of the PDP convention venue In Port Harcourt



The PRO of the Nigerian Police Force, DCP Donald Amunah has guarded the fixing of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) tradition venue in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, today. Talking as a visitor on Channels TV Sunrise Daily, he said;


"The Police is an organization set up by law and we comply with the court requests and manage of law. In an occasion of clashing court orders, what do you do? We are impartial. The IG has been served court orders in Abuja thus we need to comply with the requests. In the event that this court request must be complied, what do we do about the venue? We take control of the venue to maintain a strategic distance from two stressing parties clashing, to ensure lives and properties."

He stressed the power must be proactive to guarantee that lives and properties are secured and later the issues can be later dealt with by the court itself.
