Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has announced that the national tradition of the Peoples Democratic Party will hold as booked in Port Harcourt.
The Ahmed Makarfi-drove PDP had settled its national tradition for August 17, 2016 in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
He clarified that the national tradition would hold as planned in light of the fact that the court had yet to hear the suit documented by "sacked" Senator Ali Modu Sheriff testing the holding of the occasion.

He included that there was an application to permit Makarfi to be joined as a gathering in the suit, reviewing that the suit was bordered till August 15, 2016
The senator brought up that the Edo State section of the PDP would get the support of the gathering to win the expected governorship race.
"The PDP in the South-South can't be finished until we assume control Edo State. In this way, I ask INEC to direct free and reasonable race in Edo State and each other state where we have races.
"I thank the gathering in Edo State for doing entirely well in their crusades. As a resistance party, they host advanced the get-together's odds through submitted battles," he said.
On the prospective National Convention, he expressed that the pioneers of the PDP in the Southern geopolitical zones would meet on Thursday to decide the zoning of positions.
