Travelers on board the Caribbean Fantasy are deserting ship after a flame began in the motor room, the U.S Coast Guard affirmed to ABC News. The traveler ship, with 512 travelers and group individuals, is one mile from Puerto Rico's San Juan Harbor. There are reports of individuals in the water, as indicated by the Coast Guard.

Not long after 10 a.m. ET, the Coast Guard said 50 individuals were still on board and were being cleared.

The Caribbean Fantasy is a substantial ship that takes successive treks between Santo Domingo and Puerto Rico, as indicated by its site. (GMA)
