VP Yemi Osinbajo leads Nigeria's designation to AU Summit in Rwanda

President Muhammadu Buhari will be spoken to by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, at the African Union Summit formally opening on Sunday in Kigali, Rwanda. The 27th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union (AU) is planned to hold from 17 to 18 July, 2016, despite the fact that a retreat of African Heads of State and Governments has been booked for now July 16 in front of the formal summit opening on Sunday.The Session has been gone before by the 32nd Ordinary Session of the Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC) and the 28th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the Union at the ecclesiastical level completion today.


The AU summit topic is African Year of Human Rights with a specific spotlight on the Rights of Women. 2016 is additionally being praised by the Union as the year of Human Rights with the point of bringing issues to light on human and people groups' rights, especially ladies' rights, on the mainland and taking load of advancement or endeavors made, including significant difficulties and/or snags experienced.

Prof. Osinbajo, who is being joined by Finance Minister Mrs. Kemi Adeosun and Ambassador Babagana Kingibe among different functionaries, leaves for Kigali today and is normal back on Monday.
