Suspected activists explode gas pipeline in Ogun


Suspected activists, who were said to have camouflaged as upkeep officers from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, have exploded a gas pipeline around PZ Estate in the Ogijo region of Ogun State.

The occurrence was said to have happened on Tuesday.

The inhabitants of the group said the men had imagined as though they were authorities of the NNPC, who had come to do routine upkeep on the gas pipeline in the range.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, affirmed the episode, saying the state order had conveyed its men in the range.

Adejobi, a Superintendent of Police, included, "Some punks on Tuesday went and burst a part of a gas pipeline around PZ Estate in Ogijo.

"We heard that they came as though they were authorities of an organization accountable for the support of the gas pipeline and the occupants were deluded by this ploy.

"We would prefer not to finish up yet that they were activists however we call them lawbreakers, and we will get them wherever they are.

"The charge has conveyed men in the territory, and we are working with other sister security organizations. The Divisional Police Officer, Ogijo, Mohammed Tijani, and his group are additionally there. The Lagos State Police Command has likewise sent men on their side in the zone."
