Taking after the late retirement of top positioning cops which has created debate, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Mr. Mike Okiro, yesterday legitimized the activity.
Around 21 top police metal were resigned in a late shake-up of the power.
He said the retirement was done to accomplish a powerful, proficient and best policing of the nation.
As indicated by him, it is the standard to resign any senior officer, who may have issues of appreciation of power when new arrangements are made.
While calling for backing for the new administration group which was introduced in Abuja, Okiro said there was no requirement for the civil argument about the resigned officers as its was benefited in confidence and in light of a legitimate concern for the power and the nation
In a comment, the Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdurahman Dambazau (rtd), asked the new administration group of the Nigeria Police to concentrate on violations, savagery, insurrection in the North-east, Niger Delta and in some other parts of the nation.
In the interim, the acting Inspector General of Police (IG), Mr. Ibrahim Idris, has encouraged the new administration group to maintain the idealistic of administration control so as to give quality initiative to the officers and men of the power.
He however noticed that the center of the group should dependably be on countering composed wrongdoing like theft, grabbing murder, debasement, shared conflicts, politically-roused violations and the agriculturists, pastoralists emergency.
The brightened Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs) are: Shuaibu Gambo, who will serve as DIG, Department of Finance and Administration; Joshak Habila, who will serve as DIG Department of Operations; Maigari Abbati Dikko, DIG Department of Logistics and Supply.
Others are: Emmanuel Inyang, DIG, Department of Training and Development; Ntom Chukwu, DIG, Department of Research and Planning;
Folusho Adebanjo, DIG Department of ICT, Hyacinth Dagala, who will serve as DIG, Department of FCIID; and AIG Abdul Bube, who has been designated to serve as AIG Force Secretary.
