I'm unaffected by EFCC media trial – Fayose

Ayodele Fayose

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that he stayed unaffected by the media trial embraced by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against him, saying "the counter debasement organization and its colleagues in the All Progressives Congress (APC) ought not be in a rush in their evil thought process, rather they ought to hold up till 2018 after my residency when I will stand up to their falsehoods."

He said:

"The EFCC accomplished more than this in 2006 yet when I tested their concocted stories on poultry venture in the court, the EFCC neglected to substantiate every one of their charges against me and their case disintegrated like a pack of cards."

Talking through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said "the EFCC is at freedom to keep on using the APC media organs to nourish general society with created stories all trying to discolor my picture, cases are just won and lost in the court, not on the pages of daily papers. On the off chance that they are certain of every one of their cases, wouldn't they be able to simply go to court?

"On the off chance that what the EFCC and its teammates are presently depending on is a driver or a source in EFCC that representing Zenith Bank, and not the previous National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd) that they guaranteed gave the previous Minister of State for Defense, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro cash to give me, goodluck to them.

"The EFCC and its twist specialists can keep on cooking up stories and food their partners in the media. The media trial can proceed unabated, I am not moved. I am more engaged, more steadfast, I don't lose fights. The one that they did in 2006 did not at last keep me from having a second term as legislative leader of Ekiti State and whatever they are doing now will likewise not prevent me from giving over to a PDP representative in 2018.

"I will meet them in court and the entire world will again listen to their weak stories as it‎ happened in poultry adventure," he said.

While emphasizing his position that the EFCC was just completing the APC plan to drive him out of office or dishonor him before the 2018 governorship decision, the representative said the EFCC will be asked one day, why a few legislators from Ekiti State now resume and close in EFCC workplaces in Lagos and Abuja and are the ones written work stories for production in daily papers.

"When you read reports in their daily papers, the words and presentation are dependably the same and one marvels whether the two national dailies and the online medium they are utilizing to regurgitate their untruths normally get their stories from the same source and the source even compose the stories for them only for their columnists to put their names as bylines," the representative said.
