Three officers have been affirmed dead and three others injured after a shooting in Baton Rouge, a sheriff's office representative said Sunday. One think is dead, the police are occupied with a standoff circumstance with one while one other individual is still everywhere, Casey Rayborn Hicks, a representative for the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, said in an announcement.
The shooting which happened just before 9 a.m. focal time in the US, under 1 mile from police central command, comes in the midst of pressures over the city and the nation between the dark group and police.
A sound report of the police scanner requesting reinforcement and saying policer officers have been shot has been discharged.
The races of the suspect or suspects and the officers were not promptly known.
The suspect in the standoff circumstance is said to wear all dark, with a cover over their face and holding a long firearm.
