Senetor Shehu Sani who served 4 years jailed terms during the Late Gen. Sani Abacha's regime, took time to lecture The Senate President Bukola Saraki and his vice President Ike Ekweremadu them on life in prison following their arraignment on a 2 count charged of the forgery of senate rule at federal High Court sitting in Abuja 27th June 2016.
The senator who was present as at when Sani was lecturing the Senate leaders informed Daily Trust that Sani advised the court when they were on an hour brake.
Sani stepped forward and gave the presiding officers his experience in while he was in prison. He further told them the various ranking rule like how it is in the national Assembly. He advised them to cooperate with the Governor in prison. He added that after registration, they will be given plates for meals. He also told them what more to expect like sharing of toilet, bathroom with inmates and that the Governor of the prison will be the one to allocate bed space to them.
when contacted on phone to confirm, Sani agreed and said he gave both of them lessons of prison life style.
I dont think i have done nothing wrong in lecturing my them, they are my colleagues and as a former inmate, i think it wise for me to orient them on how life is in the prison so that they wont be caught on aware Sani added.
