FG ARRAIGNS SARAKI AND HIS VICE FOR MONDAY

 
In with the Federal Government's decision to arraign Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, before Justice Yusuf of the Abuja High Court today 27 June 2016, for the alleged forgery of the Senate Standing Rule, 2015, concerning his grown over the sencity of the legislature to run its affairs as an independent arm of Government..
Also to be arraigned are  the former clerk of the national Assembly, Salisu Maikasuwa, and deputy clark of the national Assembly, Benedict Efeturi. Their arraignment which comes up a week after they were initially scheduled for arraignment. 
 Mean while the Anthony General of the federation (AGF) and the minister of Justice Mr Abubakar Malami (SAN) last week have defended his decision to continue with their trial, indicating that he was exercising the power vested on him by the constitution when he filed a 2cout-charge of forgery and conspiracy charged aginst the Senate President and His Vice.
He also said that he acted on the instruction of the just retired Inspector general Of police (IG) Solomon Arase.
